About us: Moorfield School Of Dance is one the longest running Dancing Establishments within the West Midlands. With two branches within the Castle Bromwich and Shard Area of Birmingham, it is home to both professional and up and coming dancing professionals. Amanda Hanlon is the School's Principal with over 30 Years teaching to her name, Associate, Fellowship and Membership in all subjects and currently Examiner for United Teachers of Dance in which this is the Dance Association the School follows, she sets her standards high and achieves and reaches the goals she sets for her and the School. Moorfield are shy when it comes to celebrating there success but they have perfomed at many prestigous events around the UK and Abroad along Promotions Company Mardi Gras and Starz Efx these include The Royal Albert Hall, Her Majesties Theatre, Sadlers Wells, Alexandra Theatre Birmingham, Euro Disney Paris and PortAventura Spain. Along with this the school has a 100% Examination pass rate and is home to the current Senior United of Teachers Dance Champion Suzanne Winkett who currently trains with Moorfield . Past students are also aiming high, Donna Wooldridge is professionally dancing all over the world carrying the Moorfield Flag and other past students are setting up schools or taking there knowledge into Primary Schools around. The success does not stop at the top of the school, its lower school has 10yr old Marni-Rose Bacciochi who is currently in the top 6 Junior Dancers with the United Teachers of Dance and is currently aiming to attend the Sylvia Young Theatre School in London. Moorfield put on yearly shows and also enter and run a Festival twice a year encouraging dancers to work on there confidence and performing skills , along with 2-3 Examination Sessions and Performance's at Carnivals and Fetes throughout the Summer Months. Moorfield is also home to dance Gems Dance Group, dancers who are hired to perform at functions and events on a regular basis see Gems Website for further details. Students work very hard and a re well supported by parents, by regularly holding fundraising events within the school. The door is always open at Moorfield its friendly and fun whether you train once a week or every day you are all Stars!!!
